Congratulations to 14-year-old Hanna Yoshida from K. International School Tokyo for winning the 9th Japan Times Bee! Yoshida won by spelling the word “insubordinate” correctly. According to Merriam-Webster Unabridged, the word means “disobedient to authority.”
Yoshida will go on to compete at the 91st Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., this May.
