<p>Congratulations to 13-year-old Shantanu Edgaonkar&nbsp;from Global Indian International School&nbsp;for winning the 8th&nbsp;Japan Times Bee!&nbsp;Shantanu won by spelling the word &#8220;toxicosis&#8221; correctly. This is based on the success of our 7 bees to date, which saw participation from Japanese and International schools from all over Japan.</span><br />
<span style="color:#333333">The winner of the contest will  earn the right to compete  in the final of the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. as the representative  from  Japan.  Round-trip travel and hotel accommodation will be provided for the winner of the contest and one escort.</span></p>
