Congratulations to Sean Fogerty, age 13, from Robert D. Edgren High School on the Misawa Air Base for winning the 6th Japan Times Bee!<br />Following&nbsp;19 rounds, the championship round came down to Fogerty and&nbsp;Ganesh Gautham Elango, from K. International School Tokyo in Koto Ward.<br />The winning&nbsp;word was &#8220;snood,&#8221; which means &#8220;a net or fabric bag for confining a woman&#8217;s hair pinned or tied on at the back of the head.&#8221;<br />Sean&nbsp;will represent Japan in the upcoming Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.<br />A job well done to all the participating spellers!
